This is probably the wrong time to write about a Samsung phone while their products are catching fire. Despite the fact that Samsung Note 7 early retirement, Samsung Galaxy Edge s7 remains the top Android phone in the market today.
Yes, there were some reported incidents by some owners about their phones catching fire while charging. Personally, I placed a pre-order for this phone when it first came out and never had any issue. However, the device gets hot while charging in fast charging mode. After reading & hearing about the horrible incidents Samsung Note 7 users experienced that necessitated a recall of over two million phones, I turned off the fast charging mode on my Galaxy Edge S7 to be on the safe side.
As for the most recent firmware update, some of my favorite apps started causing phone reboot for some reason. Some friends suggested upgrading to an iPhone but in my opinion I see it as a downgrading. No offense to iPhone owners, it’s just a personal preference.
